Perhaps the hospice patient is living with a family member unable to get out of bed sleeping most of the time, the caregiver might need a break to run errands etc., and a volunteer to sit at the bedside while the caregiver goes out can mean a breath of fresh air to the family member caring for that person. It's as simple as befriending a stranger that needs a kind individual to help them through their darkest days.
We are always looking for new volunteers to provide care to patients, while supporting their families and loved ones in a nurturing, empathetic care model.
